About This Directory
slotssolana.es is an independent informational website providing reference information about physical entertainment and poker-related venues in Spain.
Our editorial team organises publicly available information about locations, venue characteristics and general visitor information.
We are not a gambling operator and do not provide gambling accounts, accept wagers, process deposits or withdrawals, or operate gaming facilities.
Information published on the website may change over time. Visitors should independently confirm current venue information, admission requirements and applicable regulations before visiting.
Why a directory of physical venues
Information about Spain's land-based venues is scattered. A venue publishes its own address and description; the regional government that licenses it keeps a register in its own format; travel sites repeat whatever they were told years ago. Someone trying to establish a simple fact, such as which municipality a venue actually sits in, ends up reading five sources that disagree.
This site does one narrow thing: it holds the small set of facts that rarely change (name, city, region, street address, venue type) in one consistent format, states when each entry was last checked, and says plainly where the reader must go for anything that changes often. It is a finding aid, not a substitute for the venue.
What we publish, and what we leave out
The fields in every listing are deliberately few. We publish only what we can check against a source and what stays true long enough to be worth printing:
| Published | Not published | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Venue name | Trading names no longer used | Old names send readers to the wrong place |
| City and autonomous region | Distances and travel times | They depend on where the reader starts |
| Street address | Telephone numbers | They change without notice and we cannot monitor them |
| Venue type | Opening hours | Seasonal and often revised; only the venue can state them |
| A short factual description | Entry fees, buy-ins, table limits | Commercial terms we have no standing to quote |
| The date the entry was last checked | Licence numbers | Held by the licensing authority, which is the place to read them |
| — | Ratings, scores and rankings | We have no basis to rank venues and no wish to |
A listing that cannot be filled in honestly is left incomplete rather than padded. Where an entry says nothing about a subject, that is because we do not know, not because the answer is negative.
How a listing is put together
Every entry follows the same sequence, and none of it involves contacting the venue's commercial or marketing staff.
- Establish that the place exists. A venue is only listed if it is a physical building open to the public at a specific street address. Nothing is listed from a press release or an announcement of a future opening.
- Take the address from the venue's own publication. The venue's published address is treated as authoritative for itself, and is checked against the municipal street naming rather than copied from a third-party aggregator.
- Confirm the region. Because land-based venues in Spain are licensed at regional level, the autonomous community matters more than the postal town. Where a venue lies outside the city it is named after, the listing says so.
- Write the description from observable facts. Building, location, and the categories of activity the venue itself advertises. No superlatives, no atmosphere, no recommendations.
- Record the date. Each entry carries the date it was last checked, so a reader can judge for themselves how much weight to give it.
Sources we rely on
- The venue's own published material for its name, address and the categories of activity it offers.
- Official registers. For the national regulatory picture, the Direccion General de Ordenacion del Juego (opens ordenacionjuego.es). Land-based casino licensing sits with the autonomous communities, so the relevant register is the one kept by the region in question.
- Municipal and cartographic data for street names, postal codes and the administrative boundaries that decide which region a venue belongs to.
We do not treat other directories, aggregators or review sites as sources. Copying between directories is how an error becomes permanent.
Independence
No venue operator pays for a listing, for its position in the directory, or for the wording of its description. No operator is shown a page before publication or has any right of approval over it.
This website carries no advertising, no sponsored entries and no affiliate links. There is no commercial arrangement of any kind with any venue or gambling operator, and nothing on any page is a paid placement. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on the page where the arrangement applies, in plain words and before the content it affects, not in a footnote.
Being independent also means we have no privileged access. We know what the venue has published and what the registers say, and no more. Where the two disagree, the listing says so instead of quietly picking one.
Editorial Methodology & Integrity
To maintain reliable public reference resources for Spanish location information:
- Physical Verification: Every listed establishment corresponds to a real, physically existing brick-and-mortar facility operating within Spain.
- Independent Publishing: No venue operator pays for a listing, and no operator sees a page before it is published.
- Ongoing Corrections: We maintain an active factual corrections procedure allowing site users and venue operators to submit updated operational details.
The limits of this directory
Stating these plainly is more useful than a claim of completeness:
- It is a selection, not a census. The directory covers selected venues. A venue's absence means only that it is not covered here.
- Entries age. A check date is not a guarantee. A venue can change its hours, its rules or its ownership the day after an entry is confirmed.
- We cannot verify anything that happens inside. Which games run on a given evening, what a table costs, whether a tournament filled: none of that is observable from published sources, so none of it is published here.
- Photographs are illustrations. The images on this site are digitally generated pictures of Spanish streets and architecture used as editorial imagery. They are not photographs of the premises they accompany. This is set out in the Editorial Disclaimer.
- We give no advice. Nothing here recommends a venue, encourages anyone to gamble, or suggests that gambling is a sensible use of money.
Corrections
A directory is only as good as its willingness to be corrected. Factual corrections are welcome from anyone (readers, venue staff, or regional authorities) and are checked against the venue's own published information before a page is changed.
We do not remove an accurate entry because a venue would prefer it were not listed, and we do not add promotional language at a venue's request. Those are the only two requests we decline.
How this site is organised
- The Venue Directory holds every listing, searchable by name or city and filterable by autonomous region.
- Separate pages cover Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, the three cities with the most coverage.
- The Venue Guide explains what a visit involves: identification, entry formalities, house rules and the regional differences behind them.
- Spain Regulation sets out who supervises what, and why land-based licensing is not handled by the same body as online gambling.
- Responsible Gambling lists the official Spanish resources, including how to bar your own access to licensed gambling.
- The legal and data pages are the Editorial Disclaimer, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
